Several of Ohio's prisons have their own ghosts. Abandoned prisons (such as the Old Ohio Pen and Mansfield Reformatory) are almost always haunted, but even those still in operation are the sites of hauntings on occasion. If hauntings are dependent at all on the volume of human misery experienced in a particular place, then nothing compares with prisons.
