Montgomery County has seen many of its small towns consumed as Dayton grew larger, a process which continues today. This is a lot like Franklin County, though there is a significant chunk of Montgomery County that's still rural and free of a Dayton address. This canal town is located near the Taylorsville Reserve, inside Five Rivers Metro Parks, at the place where the National Road crosses the old Miami and Erie Canal. The canal bed and towpath are still distinguishable, and there are brick foundations scattered about.
