I find this to be one of the more depressing comparisons. Not much remains today of what was formerly dubbed as one of the largest open air picnic pavillions in the country. Much of it fell in to the lake that it was situated above. This corner is one of the only standing portions of the building, but looking at the two pictures, there is no doubt what it once looked like. During the non-snowy season, there is grass at the base of the wall, so the pavement you see in the old photo has been completely overtaken.
