Old vs. New

Another view of the station of the great Chippewa Big Dipper. The Big Dipper was later renamed 'Coaster' as shown in this early 1970's photo. If you look very closely at the top of the station today, you can clearly see where the COASTER letters had protected the paint under them from fading. The station appears to have either faded significantly, or it had been repainted before closing as the color is different.
