Riverview Cemetery is located at 870 Centre Street in Trenton, New Jersey (Mercer County). The coordinates are 40° 11' 42" N, 74° 45' 18" W.
Riverview Cemetery is very large, and it is still active. The cemetery was incorporated in 1858, but its roots go back to 1685 when it was used as a Quaker graveyard. Actually, some believe the land was actually used as an Indian burial ground prior to the Quaker graveyard since many relics have been found there. However, this is just speculation.
There are many famous individuals buried at Riverview Cemetery, including Major General George B. McClellan (Civil War) and John A. Roebling (the designer of the Brooklyn Bridge). For a full list of notable people buried there, please view the Riverview Cemetery page at Interment.net.
