Oakwood Cemetery is located at the end of Davis Street, just south of Shiawassee Avenue, in Fenton, Michigan (Fenton Township, Genesee County). The coordinates are 42° 47' 21" N, 83° 42' 48" W.

Oakwood Cemetery is very large, and it is still active. The Old Prospect Hill Cemetery is located in the southeast corner. While there are many newer gravestones, there are plenty of old ones to look at. The majority of the gravestones are in great condition; there are very few broken stones. The cemetery is very well maintained.
