The New Salem Methodist Episcopal Cemetery is located on OH-188, just north of New Salem Road, in New Salem, Ohio (Walnut Township, Fairfield County and Thorn Township, Perry County). The coordinates are 39° 51' 7.21" N, 82° 28' 13.38" W.

The New Salem Methodist Episcopal Cemetery is old, but it is still active. The oldest gravestones are located closest to OH-188. Most are in good condition, but there are several that have been damaged. The cemetery is very well maintained.
