Monique shared the following about her trip to Tolomato Cemetery:
"I happened to stumble upon this cemetery (Tolomato) from a B & B during a sunset walk, and took some photos with my old 35mm semi-automatic camera. I don't know if it's my presence or what, but again it seems like there were a couple apparitions in the developed photos. I asked Cord Camera in Columbus if there could have been some reflection from their machine during processing, and they said it couldn't be possible, especially with the images apppearing on the negative. Are you able to see a man with a white long beard and a long-haired woman directly below him looking forward? I zoomed in as close as possible, and I attached another smaller photo that brings in better detail of the man.
The next evening I took a city ghost walk tour, and we happened to pass by this cemetery. As the group walked on I stayed around a minute or so since I spotted some eerie faint lights in the cemetery. It looked like eyes, mouth and nose only, but after the photo was overexposed, the body came in view. I believe it's an alligator (see photo) which is rarely seen in the town. Later, I found out there was a legend of a Native American young woman being killed by an alligator near an area which was once a small river bank not too far from the cemetery. It's supposed to be one of the most haunted cemeteries in the country, being in the oldest city in the U.S. The only other guess is perhaps someone was possibly playing a trick with the use of some type of sophisticated projector. It's not such a good chance since this cemetery is always closed to the public and can only be viewed through a high gate. I was offered a possible explanation from others that it could have been just a play of light in the grassy area of the cemetery. The group also passed by another old cemetery a couple blocks away called Hugonot. Is it your impression that there is an orb to the upper right of the tombstone? I'm still somewhat a skeptic about ghosts, and I wish I had a scientific explanation for the images on my photos."
