Mount Hope Cemetery is located at 1048 State Street in Bangor, Maine (Penobscot County). The coordinates are 44° 49' 39" N, 68° 43' 4" W.

Mount Hope Cemetery was established in 1834, and it is the second oldest garden cemetery in the United States. It is still active. There are many old gravestones, including several monuments with beautiful statuary. Although some gravestones have been damaged, most are in great condition. The cemetery is very well maintained.
