Kyle sent me the following information about the Tuberculosis Sanatorium:
The Wyoming Tuberculosis Sanatorium was built in 1921. With the decline in TB admissions, it began admitting non-tubercular elderly patients in 1963. By 1969 it had dropped the word tuberculosis from its name. By 1971 the variant spelling, Wyoming Sanitarium, had appeared. Its name was changed to the Wyoming Retirement Center by 1985 to reflect its new purpose. Upon reorganization, it was placed under the Department of Health's Aging Division.
