John Rausch sent me the following information about Blanchard Cemetery:

This cemetery was also known as the Infirmary Cemetery.

This cemetery has many names because it was used at different times by different organizations. It is located south of Leipsic on Road H-5 in Section 7, Blanchard Township. At one time there was a building known as the Poplar Ridge Methodist Church. After the church left, it became the Infirmary Cemetery and this is where they buried most people. Most people had no money and there are no stones.

Many descendants of the Clark-Woodruff families are buried here in addition to the 150-200 from the infirmary. In 1967 there were about 50 stones that could be read, but now there are fewer than 10 even visible. The county mows the cemetery and it is likely that the stones are buried.
