Jessyca (YIM=carebear_stare669) and Matt took these fantastic photos from Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Valley City, Ohio. It's a beautiful cemetery, but it's better known as the home of the haunted "Witch's Ball". Here's what Jessyca e-mailed me:

"I just took some pictures of the interesting tombs and such, I thought they had really neato tombs there. Also, while looking around on the other side of the graveyard from the Witch's Ball, I found some sort of relatives to the witch...they had the same last name. When My boyfriend and I went there, we felt the ball and it was warm, and in the summer it is supposed to be cool. However, there is somewhere else that says if the ball is cool, she is at rest, and if it is warm she is out for revenge?? Not sure which one it is, could be the other way around."

But is the legend of the "witch's ball" really true? I HIGHLY doubt it. Stories like this get started about any unusual gravestone, there's usually very little truth behind them. And this is exactly the case with this legend. I received an e-mail from Chris Stoskopf, the great-grandson of the person buried in that grave. First, there isn't a woman buried there...it's his great grandfather. So there's the first problem with this story. Second, no member of that family was ever murdered, so there's no way the story about the witch being killed is true.
