George sent me the following information about Park Cemetery:
The Park Cemetery is hidden away, but the tiny entrance can be found at 620 Lindley Street, Bridgeport, Connecticut. It is located at 41°12’09", 73°11’44". This medium-sized cemetery was organized in 1878, just four years after the production start of the close by Monumental Bronze Company which molded the white bronze cemetery markers composed mostly of zinc. This cemetery could boast as having the most zinc monuments, possibly because many of the families may have worked at the factory, or maybe the local salesman had a contact with the cemetery. Zinc markers are in abundance. These are just a few of the more interesting ones. This cemetery is still active and a large funeral entered the cemetery as I was leaving.
