Diane G. sent me the following e-mail about the Shaker Cemetery:

Also on this site was the Anne Lee Nursing home, which recently closed down. I had been to this building several times to transport patients while driving ambulance. It still had no air conditioning as of 2007. I believe the conditions were unfavorable for the patients. The entrance that I had to use was behind the building in basement of the old building, which back in the days was a room that the home used for their deceased patients. It was a very uncomfortable place to be, and I am happy they finally moved the elderly to surrounding facilities.

The story behind Mother Anne Lee is very interesting. She was quite a strong, powerful woman in her own right.
