Cate S. sent me the following information about her visit to this abandoned house:
The house is located on Highway 78, off Hog Mountain Road. Follow Hog Mountain until you hit Highway 78, then take a right. There is an overgrown driveway. Turn onto the driveway. You'll need to get out of your car because of the un-level ground and slightly steep incline.
I've been inside this house before with a friend, and it was as much of a mess inside as it is out. The first room you're in, after walking down a very short hallway from the front door, is the cleanest from what I remember. It has a fireplace. The next room you enter also has a fireplace and a smoke outline on the wall from where a cross evidently used to hang above it. Most of the house is filled with junk - including lots of mattresses, shoes, furniture, barbie jeeps, old TV's, etc. - and it can be hard to get through. It seems to be occasionally occupied by squatters- there are lottery tickets on the floors and ripped cloth serving as curtains on some windows and there is burnt paper in the fireplaces - so if you decide to venture to this house, be cautious.
