Bellefontaine Cemetery was established in 1849. It is huge, and it is still active. The cemetery is filled with many interesting gravestones, including some with very detailed carvings. There are also several impressive mausoleums. Although several of the older gravestones have been damaged, most are in excellent condition. The cemetery grounds are extremely well maintained.
