Arlington National Cemetery is located off Memorial Drive in Arlington, Virginia (Arlington County). The coordinates are 38° 52' 45" N, 77° 04' 26" W.

Arlington National Cemetery is a huge military cemetery that was officially established June 15, 1864. There are more than 260,000 people buried at the cemetery, and it is still active. On average, there are twenty burials each day; about 5,400 each year. Veteran's from all the wars American soldiers fought in are buried here. The cemetery is EXTREMELY well taken care of by the Department of the Army.

One of the most popular spots for tourists to visit in the cemetery is the Memorial Amphitheater for the Changing of the Guard at the Tomb of the Unknowns. You can click here to see my photos.
