Ghost Towns of
Fairfield County

Fairfield County is home to Lancaster and the birthplace of William Tecumseh Sherman. Today it's a suburb county to Columbus, but it still contains some nice woods and the beginning of the Hocking Hills. A number of towns faded out of existence in the countryside surrounding Lancaster; scroll down to read about them.

Delmont
Hocking Twp.
Railroad town on the Zanesville-Maysville Road just west of Lancaster; it has its own ghostly murder victim.
Revenge
Madison Twp.
Oddly named farm crossroads, it features a haunted covered bridge, as well as the still-standing general store (now rented out as a private home).
